Microsoft slips to #59 from #1 in just 4 years

My main beef with Microsoft remains the 10 year life span of any given OS. This would be tolerable if I could rely on the new product to work out of the box, do what the hype says and be reliable. We all know that is not the case. I’ve owned Dos 3.1, 3.11 (network support), 95, ME (crap), 98, 98 SE, 2000, NT 3.51 and 4 and now XP Pro.
From all I’ve read and heard about Vista in reading press releases, independent reviews, peer discussion Vista is this centuries ME. If, imo, Microsoft’s focus was truly on serving their customers they would surely not release crap to the market place!
Microsoft’s stated position on this topic is akin to a threat or screw you dear customer. I for one will not accept Vista until I can no longer avoid the inevitable.
