Which laptop / notebook would you purchase today?

If I were in this spot, having never owned (a) a laptop, notebook, or PDA and (b) always been an Intel and Microsoft guy (c) I’ve never worked on, much less owned a Mac - in today’s financial and industrial situation I’m almost certain it would be this MacBook Pro.
